I'm guessing the reason the Dr didn't give you any medication is because it's a virus. Viruses don't respond to any antibiotic. Hot shower, Vicks up the bottoms of your feet, put on socks and go to bed. Rest, lots of fluids (juice, water, not pop) and it will eventually clear up. Sorry you feel so tough.
