SW Ohio | This might be too late, but here is what I do...
Mucinex 1200mg 12hr twice daily + Sudafed (12hr) in the am (dr says you can take both of these together and can take sudafed in pm but it keeps me awake at night)
At the same time use a nose rinse 2-3x day.
Theives oil or vicks on chest and bottom of feet.
Other tricks that I use if I can find them at the store---shower menthol tabs and vicks plug in vapor things that go in an outlet by your bed.
