When called, most dealers [really salesmen] comment that they are sympathetic and understanding about the decline of combine prices but they cannot discount the combine below what they have allowed for it in a trade. Neighbor leaves numbers and says call when you want to talk. So far no call backs. He is pricing used combines based on auction value plus added value and that is usually 40% less than asking price. Despite the lots being full of used combines and a buyer with cash ready to buy there is little interest from salesmen and dealers to sell at what can only be described as actual true market value. Neighbor is very patient but again, no call backs. | |
