I should have studied the board better, my quick look at the schematic had me thinking they where all right by the regulator. (need to look before typing)

Speaking of extra components.. I'm assuming this thing is going to be powered on a machine at some point, and connected to other thing-a-ma-jigs. Have you looked into TVS especially on your RS232 lines to protect your MAX3223s? Their built in ESD protection is probably not sufficient(if any depending on the chip).

Looks good, it appears it should be able to chat with... well about anything, close by or far far away. Add much more and you will have to buy eagle ;)
