Western Illinois | Made it out to check on the cows this afternoon after I ran them out from their shade and water holes. With the recent heat and rain they are looking a little rough but knock on wood no pink eye or other health problems. Plan is to preg check all cows and wean calves and give the calves their first round of shots on October 2nd and keep the calves on feed till a Nov 20th pre - conditioned sale.
First 3 pictures are of the bred heifers we purchased and their early February calves nursing.
5th picture is of our biggest steer calf that was born March 16th and the last picture is of our 5 year old angus herd bull out of moving on/new design 878.
I enjoy looking at everyone else's pictures so I figured I'd put a few on. Cows and calves have been on nothing but grass since the first of april.
