Unless your barns / pasture cover 130 acres, you shouldn't have to get more land to expand. 

With corn price being in the poopers, its a good chance to buy feed for cheap - consider getting into contracts with neighbours.   Biggest thing is to not panic, and you should strive to reduce debt while waiting for opportunity.



+1 neighbor down the road is 37 and 2 yrs ago put up a 100+ hd dariy barn he only owns 15 acres he rents another 120 or 160 down the road that is half in hay and half in corn for silage, uses winter rye to chop in the spring. his land lord wants as much of the farm in hay as possible at all times. rents the other half to another dairy who has most of that in hay also. find a land lord who has interest in preventing erosion or likes having hay around you shouldn't need to pay big rent if it makes them happy.
