Subject: Soaking Oats in Water for Hogs

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
I have a few ton of old oats that I was going to feed to my pigs that are over 40lb now. I don't have my mill up and running, and have heard that soaking the oats in water will allow the pig to digest them. I tried some that I soaked for 24hrs in a five gallon bucket and the pigs loved them. I am feeding 16% pelleted feed as well. How long should I soak the oats? Thanks!
