Subject: RE: Soaking Oats in Water for Hogs

Central Alberta
I have soaked lots of grain for hogs mostly barley. Than wheat very little oats. Does not matter what grain the best is to soak till the oats just start to sprout. This makes them very digestible and the hogs love them. Even better if you have a container to soak them in with a lid than close the lid and soak till they just start to sprout. Now they will be wet, sprouted and just a little bit fermented . The hogs will go wild over it. It would take about 3 days here to get the grain sprouted just the way the hogs like it.
