East Central Ia
I break the cob in half and count kernels around in the middle as sometimes they neck down a little from stress... That gives me the 16-18 around I am seeing.

Then I usually skip the very bottom couple rows and skip the tips back far enough that I am comfortable with good healthy kernels.

Doing this I am seeing mostly mid 30's for length. If I count every kernal in length I would probably be in the 40-42 range I think. We are not far enough along get a great feel on length just yet. But it's not going to be any higher than what's there now lol... Only less if weather doesn't cooperate.
