Now look back at what happened prior to the January report,,,many sold corn into the report,,,even one of NAT's big bulls.... That turned out to be the wrong time and most likely some little "stick" in a 5k pin stripped suit made a dollar a bushel on YOUR CORN for HIS investors.............
Then this one,
"Edit: And in the same token, sometimes it may make sense to sell ahead because the market is offering more BECAUSE of the speculators temporarily driving prices up."
Now ZCZ13 high was 6.65 in August of 2012,one had a good month to sell $6 plus corn,long long time to sell $5-6 Now I'm not saying go hog wild and sell your APH at these prices BUT
1. How would have selling 30% some where's in the 5.25-5.75 have changed your cash full needs,when you sold corn into the January report ?
2. How many were forced to sell corn into the report to make payment of what ever ?
3. How many bankers were saying "hey I need some money here guys" ?
4. Can one use points 1,2,3 in pulling the trigger on new crops sells now ? ? ?
That would be using past history to help one be a better marketer ! ! ! | |
