I have slow DSL,, I did have an Ethernet cable hooked to my desk top but I noticed that my Lap Top always had a faster connection than the desktop. So I purchased a D-link wireless receiver that has a USB cable to plug into my desk top computer. Now my desk top gets a wireless signal from the router and hooks up my desk top computer to the internet via the usb cable. I do not use the Ethernet cable at all anymore.
Can I hook 2 computers to one modem without a router?
