southern MN | I'm not expert enough to know, but that just doesn't sound right. Two modems doesn't sound right.
Couple wifi dongles/ antennas to plug into the computers in the USB ports and they should pick up the wifi and you don't need any extra routers or wire or modems? I see thrm for $10, real good up to $70 a piece.
You must already have an either net cable running to the area to support the current setup, just run the cable from your new wifi location to the computers, and use a cheap router - non wifi - to split to the computers.
