North Carolina | 6190R JD with Ace hydraulic pump and 3 point hitch sprayer, 60 foot boom. Currently running a Raven butterfly 90 degree regulator attached to the raven flow valve. Unneeded flow to the outlet manifold is backed back up to agitation with no bypass at the outlet manifold. It seems slow to adjust to speed changes and was wondering if changing to a ball valve type regulator would be quicker with less jumping around. Pretty much the same result even when varying pump pressure. Teejet has ball valve regulator(model 344) with a 3/4 second response time and one with a 5 second response time. My thinking is this would be a more precise up and down with a ball valve. I'm assuming the ball valve has the ability to shut flow off completely if called for vs a butterfly that doesn't close off all flow. Confused enough? TIA. | |
