Lex560R - 12/6/2013 21:39 we have a 60x64 shop. when we put ours in back in 2009 the floor heat was about 6,000$ to 8,000$ and the concrete was about 20,000$. but the concrete was between 10 and 12 inches thick. when we put it in we didn't care what it cost. We liked it so much we threatened to break the concrete out of the basement in the house and put the floor heat in.


They make floor heat you attach to the floor joists if you are trying to heat the first floor, as for the basement though short of putting in a radiant electric mat, there isn't a ton you can do. I know if I redo my basement floor though its going in.
