Virginia | We put floor heat in our shop in 2008 and would not consider doing it any other way. A new home was built in 2010 with a full basement and all the walls are below grade. Floor heat was installed in the basement. A water furnace is our heating source. We still haven't brought the floor heat online. With the 2" foam board under the basement floor the temperature stays at 70-72 degrees. IMO any concrete in a heated building should have insulation placed beneath it. | |
