Masonville, Iowa | The checkoff vote was joke! Allowing a 4-Her who sells 1-2 pigs a year vote should not have happened. So many voting shannanigans went on around "here" it wasn't funny. If most producers had a clue about how the checkoff money is spent, the vote would have been a resounding YES.
That being said, part of the agreement to keep the checkoff was to have a another vote. The USDA was dragging their feet until the Supreme Court ruling came out. I do not know what the hold up is now. | |
