If there is no crop removal, how can you have nitrogen leaching? The plant has nitrogen in it and it would be considered organic N and needs to be converted by the biology to be used. You could leach some N if the plant doesn't uptake what's in the soil.


Could you not also leach the N if it is mineralized before the next crop needs it?
