SW TX PANHANDLE | I think the 28 cents would be a pretty good contract, although you should be able to get a premium for high oil content. From friends that i know that grew them this year, 2000 lbs should be a pretty realistic yield goal with just a little irrigation, providing you start with a good soil profile. I dont think you will want to haul them very far as i think you can only get about 30-35000 lbs on a truck, unless you have access to a high sided trailer. | |
