Oh yeah, black radish is only eaten raw on bread and butter or in salads, not grown as a cover crop or for cattle feed. I mentioned it only because I never see the stuff in farmers markets.
Seems to be one vegetable that didn't make it over to the New World, when the even stronger horseradish did.
