Another idea for the broken off studs, if they need to screw out, try welding a thick flat washer to the stud and then a nut onto the washer. The heat from welding usually loosens it and as soon as the redness from welding is gone, twist it out using the nut.

If they are just pressed in, big punch and really big hammer is what you need. Don't hold the punch with your hand, clamp it into vice grips to better protect your hand.
