Southeast WI
The no cover strips had very light volunteer wheat on them. I sprayed the entire field in mid-August to kill the wheat and any weeds that were up before putting in the covers. We have had excellent weed control the past several years now that crabgrass, foxtail and C. Ragweeds have been taken care of aggressively. Even with short corn this year and an open canopy the trial stayed perfectly weed-free all year.

Rain last year after wheat harvest tallies July 4.2" (wheat mostly mature by early July), Aug 3", Sept 4.3", Oct 1.4" and Nov at least 3.8" before I put the gauge away around Thanksgiving. October was dry but other months were pretty close to normal for SE WI.
