My opinion there are a lot of other factors that affect the livestock industry a lot more than the government, like the drought, the value of the dollar. Whether we like it or not a high dollar is not friendly to agriculture. A higher dollar like we had in the 80's put our exports dead in the water. Looks like ethanol will stand for some time. I look for Obama to do some unpopular things to change the country because he doesn't have to worry about getting reelected. Like you stated lets keep this objective. IF yo want to whine (which does no good) go to the whine cellar or the to some it's the boiler room.
