Election results and the livestock industry?

On the Delmarva
with what has happened concerning the EPA, and what is going on in the School lunches, I think the livestock industry as we know it is done. Especially since it is obvious the people are more concerned about social issues than the economy. Add in the uncertainity of the energy policies and things really start looking bleak in my opinion.

Here's what I see: Beef will be produced by the little guys (much like Jim) for sales to those who can afford it. Same goes with pork & lamb. Poultry & eggs will continue for some time, but will soon follow the other three. Diary I think is in for the worst, as in my area the schools are pushing soymilk at the lunches as opposed to the dairy products.

I don't often post in here as my herd of beef cows are more a hobby than side business even though I do try and run it as one. JMHO.
