Had one and it did ok but couple things we didn't like. It had the single wheels and if it was damp the depth wheels would slide in corn stalks. Long as you watched it close it wasn't to bad. Next thing we didn't like was the angle disc's. In heavy ground they did good. In the gravel ground they tended to fluff up the stalks as it cut. This would lead to the wheel problem. A lot of this could have been solved going a couple inches deeper but with the rocks we have it's not a good solution.Had some problems with the depth control sleeve but some spacers on cylinder took care of that. On the plus side it was well built and guy we sold it to uses it all the time. he has mostly heavy ground not so many rocks. |
