NW Washington | This weed just keeps coming back, both on NAT and in the soil just about everywhere. Various forms of Equisetum grows all over the country and it has many local names, like horsetail rush, scouring rush, snake grass ect. Herbicides will knock it down, but it usually comes back. It is spread by spores and rhizomes. It has no leaves so it is hard to get chemicals into the plant. It likes lots of moisture.
