Have never run a vac or an air planter either so just wondering how you choose the correct setting (for corn mainly).
You take the seeds/lb. and go to a chart in the manual (actually a graph), it is easy to see where to set it. With e-sets or promax 40's it is somewhere between 15 and 18" of vacuum. With the factory disks it varies between 7 and 10" of vacuum for me most years with lots of seed running around 8" of vac. |
