Subject: RE: Vacuum vs. Finger Pickup for new planter

We have a 7200 12r30 finger pickup with all Precision parts. We bought the planter the year before the Eset disks were available for the vac meters, otherwise we would have purchased a vac planter. We are pleased with the performance of the finger units, however our next planter WILL be a vac with the ESET disks. Finger units love medium rounds. They hate flats. Esets plant flats just as good as rounds. . Finger units will easily plant 99+% with med. rounds. Throw flats in and watch it go down to 97's. Vac/ESET can plant both at 99+%. When it comes to setting the vacuum, pretty much just set it and forget it.
