I ran into a old college buddy about 6 years ago at Agri-Service in Burley, Id. He told me that they went to old farm sales and bought up all the little Massey 55 ? tractors, Fords, etc. for their irrigators to use. Cheaper than 4-wheelers, didn't have to plate them. They didn't have to worry about them getting stuck, and they wouldn't take them to town on a beer run. Cheap to overhaul as well, I thought it was a great idea. Said it worked really well if they had to pull pipe trailers as well.
