St. Gregor, SK, Canada | I've been using Ubuntu since version 4... It's at 9.10 now. They release 2 per year, each being a full version, so that makes this my 5th year of Ubuntu.
Kubuntu is the KDE version. I don't like GNOME, and never have.
You can do everything to the desktop that I did, right out of the box. No need to install/download anything else. Windows doesn't even come close to that kind of customizability.
Oh, and you can use VmWare, to run your Windows apps, and it'll look seamless. VmWare's virtualization tools are further advanced than Sun. | |
