Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | I am Mark's wife. I was down in LA and installed a new hard drive in a friends computer. Even though I had disks for all the software including driver disk, I had no luck in creating a Local Area Connection. When we go to Network Connections folder it is empty. MY friend is on DSL dialup, no phone line. Any suggestions. I'm to the point to have her take it to a shop and have them do (I would think they could do it real easy). I've tried just about everything and ran out of ideas. When I try to creat a local area connection, it wants internet connection to do so but without the connection I cannot get it online.
