| After my heart stint Dr. put me on Atorvastatin which is one of the harshest ones there is. I felt like I had been beaten with a chain every day. Told the Dr. I couldn't take it and they switched me to Pravastatin which was a lot better. Started taking Co-Q-10 with it and have no ill effects from it now.
They added Zetia with it and my cholesterol is well managed to their standards.
Like everything health related, you have to be your own best advocate. If you don't feel good with the meds, push back and make them change it. Had a buddy who felt absolutely lousy on heart meds and Dr. just told him to suck it up, you'll get used to them. He finally throwed the meds away and is rolling the dice on how long he will live.
