I give it a 70% chance of happening, and I will bet that 70% on here say hold for $6.00 because the market doesn't understand how bad this crop really is.
Here is my first forward contract for 2021 crop corn. I also sold an HTA in CZ22 the same week. On this date in 2022, May 2022 corn futures were $7.48. I’ll be the first to admit I sucked at selling 2023 crop, but some of you act as if it was just so easy peasy to be hitting home runs all along and all the rest of us idiots were sitting here banking on GBS to make us millions. Fact of the matter is some of us were making some proactive decisions that didn’t look so good in hindsight, and some of us had crop insurance claims during the high prices instead of production that was “better than expected.”
