You can take credit for any sales prior to July 15th for crop insurance to make up a little of the sting. If spring price is $4.50 and you sell APH for $5 and show signed contracts by July 15 you should be able to set a new spring price of $5/bu. You’ll have to pay more premium but at least you’ll have your sales covered
