Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | First off, it depends on the style of plumbing. If you are using by-pass control where excess flow is sent back to the tank, then the control valve is mounted on a tee prior to the flow meter. Remember all flow going through the flow meter must be going to the boom sections and not returning to the tank for control or agitation. By pass control is rarely used except it can work nicely in situations where the pump has more capacity than necessary since it is easier to control the amount of excess flow returning to the tank than directly controlling it in other ways.
If you are using inline control where the control valve is directly controlling the flow to the booms, then I would mount the control valve after the flow meter. With the control valve after the flow meter, it will tend to create back pressure within the flow meter besides the back pressure of the spray tips. A control system needs some back pressure to work properly. |
