Subject: Mounting flow meter and regulating valve on sprayer

Ohio
Redoing some plumbing as I'm replacing and adding 2 more section valves on the sprayer. Before there was probly 16 in before the regulating valve and the flow meter. I was wondering can you stack them back to back? I was think of getting an npt to flange fitting and just coupling them together. Is this OK or do they need to be separated like it was before. If I can do this I could take up less space and it would make it easier to get that line into the boom valve bank.
