Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | I've read where you want 12" of straight line/tube/hose before the Flow meter, and 6" straight after the flow meter. { I think it was in the TeeJet Booklet}
Mine is plumbed that way, for 12 years = no problems and very accurate. {note: flow going "uphill" thru Flow meter, also}
