We were 20 inch corn and beans for many years. Switched back to 30s on both for strip till, white mold, and cheaper equipment and we saw no difference. Ran that way for a few years but wanted a second rig to seed beans with because we had the manpower with reducing our tillage and ended up with a 15 inch 1990ccs. That thing works great and maintenance is very low compared to a planter. Seed spacing isn't great, but it'll plant into asphalt if you want it to. Saw no downside to it and yield is very similar to 30 inch planted beans. Weed control has been pretty similar on all of them but the 15s combine the nicest.
