Nw Iowa | Delta, what happens is used machinery corrects first. That is the reality. So if you have a X9 combine that used market drops to 450000 for a lower hr one , it is very hard for a dealer to offer 700000. Deere is going to have to do multiple things to make deal happen. It may be a combination of interest free, mfg cash incentives to dealer, or other considerations on a deal by deal basis. Deere has to keep their factories busy within reason and not as easy to just produce what market wants as they are 6 months in advance, maybe longer on contracts for materials. It is not easy for anybody. It is hard for any industry to go from full speed ahead to idle. | |
