I’ll be the odd man out but I am kind of fussy. It is more fun to run a machine you like and feel good about. If it was me, I’d try to flip it and find a machine you really like.
Before everyone jumps on me, my newest tractor is 12 years old and I have a whole fleet of 20 year old stuff. Even though something is old doesn’t mean it can’t be nice too.
X2. That would be my thoughts as well. Running crappy looking equipment kills my motivation, and makes me as moody as an old witch. LOL. And no, we're not running any brand new equipment right now, although a fair amount of the equipment we're using today we did buy new. Our newest tractor is an '11.
When we're looking for used equipment, we only buy what appears to have had a good home. Mechanically and cosmeticly. You can polish a turd, but at the end of the day, it's still a turd!!
