dont forget the big 8 became the big 12. the big twelve is now a texas/oklahoma conference. Nebraska wasnt getting top billing anymore. that hurt recruiting. the move to the big 10, was because the big 12 was no longer a level playing field for the northern teams. at least thats how i see it as an iowa state fan.
