Galva, IL----- Half way between Peoria & Moline | Years ago, I was summoned, also. Working full time in town and farming a good chunk of ground, I tried to delay my duty to a better time than harvest time. The bailiff told me to write a letter to the judge, explaining my concerns. Three sons in college and trying to meet my bills, I needed to do both. The judge answered and appreciated my offer to defer until a later date. They dropped me to a different jury pool, but was never called. You have to Communicate with them.
