The number that you need to know is the "worlds variable cost of production". That is the number that tells you who will continue to produce or let land sit idle. And for this exercise "land cost" whether it is owned or rented (for land that is already in production) is a fixed cost.
Not that my opinion matters but, I don't think we've seen the bottom yet.
Guys are still tripping over each other trying to farm more acres.
