Anderson County Kansas | There is some 200 bushel dryland coming out of SE Kansas. The early corn around here is running about average to slghtly above I am hearing from 100 to 140 our average is around 110 to 120. The later corn will be better which is unusual for us. We were in a wet spot and couldn't get planted to Mid May which is a blessing for us this year. It cooled off and rained in August while the early corn filled in the heat and dry. Hope to get started next week. I am expecting yield to be around 20 bushel over aph if we can get it, anthracnose has really weakened the stalks. My yield checks have us around 150 with a farm aph of 125. Our soybeans here will also be above average, but we caught a 3 to 4 inch rain a couple weeks ago that a lot of Kansas missed. | |
