If I'm not mistaken, the Midwest droughts of 1983, 1988 and 2012 were all preceded by Southeastern US droughts the prior year.

2016 was epic in the southeast. I'm not betting the farm on a drought, but a 10 day with LOTS of highs in NW Indiana of 50+ in mid-February makes my Spidey sense tingle a bit. Reminscient of Feb 2012.
