I agree with Gerald. I'm more interested in corn that can yield 200-220 planted at 23-25k than I am planting higher populations. Some of my best corn this year was planted at 25k on gravity irrigated sand. I split applied 32 and 28-0-0-5 over 4 applications. It was only about 10 acres; I plan to expand my experiment to a pivot irrigated 40 in 2017. As it pertains to the original topic, good spacing is a lot easier to achieve at 25k than 34k, especially in my 36" rows.
