The gold standard will never happen. The USA is not Zimbabwe. Many currencies have failed in the past and guess what the fiat currency system continued on. The US Federal Reserve knows a lot more then people give them credit for. When they lowered interest rates people called them stupid when they raised interest rates people called them stupid. The Federal Reserve has made me and maybe some of you good money and steered us out of a very bad recession so why complain. One thing I like in this economy is that company's are becoming very very lean on operating costs (cutting out the gravy) and so WHEN the major economy's get running on all cylinders these company's are going to make a lot of money so buy good quality company's. As for negative interest rates in my opinion they are telling the wealthy private sector to get off there butts and put there money to work to get jobs and the economy going, Since they are the only ones who can really jump start everything.
