Some (probably most now) insurance companies will want to know and may want to have someone inspect the installation before you light it up.
Used to have wood stoves and of course they were out where the agent could see them but he once mentioned that those of us who were used to stoves were not much risk but new owners of stoves with little to no experience were high risk and they wanted an inspection before lighting them up. | |
