Subject: Home insurance and new to me corn stove

SW Iowa, Clarinda

I am considering buying used corn stove to put into our basement for additional heat and assisting the natural gas furnace. ....my question. ...do I need to let my home owners insurance company know if I install a corn stove in my basement? Or just do it and go on.
