You can farm a couple hundred acres, raise some live stock, and have a nice life.
Life is what God and you make of it.
A lot of people think, more,more, more will make their life fulfilled.
 IMO they don't have a clue. 



Unless you inherit paid for land, I disagree. At least here in the corn belt. On that little of acreage it is hard to create enough income to make a living and service debt.

Maybe a dairy would be the closest thing.

I agree that life is more than money.
maybe ones that do have a nice life & make a living farming a couple 100 acres & raise livestock have a lower means of living material wise than you


Maybe, maybe not. I live a pretty modest lifestyle because I'm working towards farming full time and I know it will take me lots of money to get there.

I just know in my area it takes more than that, an off-farm job, or an inheritance. Nothing is wrong with any of these, just the way it goes here.
