If you are worried about high winds doing some damage with that being a north facing building I have seen a few buildings put up so that part of the roof would open up during a wind event. These were tin roofs where they would actually leave some of the screws out of the tin. If a large gust of wind came along and into the building the tin with only a few screws gave way before the rest of the roof releasing the air pressure from the wind gust. Most of the time you could just screw the tin back down. I imagine you will be decking that roof do to snow loads but with your ability I think you could come up with something similiar. |
